How do EXAMS work?
The Exams menu is divided into two parts:
- List of students eligible for graduation: these are students who have reached the minimum attendance requirement for their current belt. This requirement must be set up in the belt graduation settings for each martial art and depends on the start date of the student’s current belt to calculate attendance;
- Exam registration: here you create the event for your exam. Eligible students will be listed automatically and can be filtered by location and the belt they are testing for. You can also set the FEE they will have to pay.
Later in the list, you can remove a student, add others (even those who do not meet the attendance requirement), or mark whether the fee was paid by clicking the payment arrow. It should be noted that when selecting a LOCATION, the system will filter the students who belong to that location.
Once the exam is marked as completed, you must indicate which students passed. Their belt levels will then be automatically updated in the student’s record, and attendance will start counting toward the next requirement.
IMPORTANT: any changes to the belt graduation settings may affect ongoing exams. Also note that manual changes to a student’s record can affect the eligibility list, both in terms of belt and date.
If you have staff members with active user accounts in the system, you can grant them access to this area.
