What are Categories?

CATEGORIES are the "type" of money in your cash flow, classifying it in a more specific way. For example, you can register an INCOME category and within it place "Monthly Fee" and "Enrollment". This way you can at any time generate a report to know how much monthly fees you received in the month and specifically in which segments.

Click on CATEGORIES in the FINANCIAL menu and then on ADD. You will need to give a name to the category and define whether or not a parent category, to include one within the other, as in the example below:

Important: the Cash Flow report, which you can find in the STATS menu, is entirely based on categories, summing all transactions of the month in each one.
