Help Center

Hi! How can we help you?

How do I pay the Instructor?

In MartialWave, you can specify the payment method for a instructor in their registration by selecting hourly rate, where the system will calculate the total hours taught by the teacher throughout the month, based on what is recorded in the Lesson Record. In other words, for all journals marked as completed, the system will calculate the actual total hours regardless of the number of students or the value of the class/schedule. This does not apply to substitute teachers, since that may depend on separate negotiations.

This setting must also be configured in the teacher’s discipline:

IMPORTANT:

For hourly remuneration, only Lesson Records marked as completed before the current date will be counted;

Remuneration Menu

Each time a teacher is entitled to remuneration, a record will be created in the Instructor Compensation section under the Financial menu. There, the system will show the type of remuneration, its source, and the amount to be paid.

You will then select which commissions you want to pay and choose the due date in the Financial system. The system does not make this entry automatically—you have to choose what to pay and when, as shown below:

With this, you can decide, for example, to release commission only when the student pays; or to pay biweekly, monthly, or on a specific date.

Once entered, you can check the generated entries under the Entries tab on the same screen, with details of how it was composed:

IMPORTANT:

In the Cash Flow, remunerations will appear under the line "Instructor Remunerations." For future months, the system will use the previous realized value as a forecast until the remuneration is actually entered under the chosen category.

If your instructor has a fixed monthly salary, you can create a Recurring Transaction for the salary, which will always be recorded in the financial system.
