How do I create tuition fees? What is a contract?

In MartialWave, you create contracts for one or more students, whether they are enrolled in class schedules or not.

Within each contract, charges will be generated that correspond to the tuition fees for each month.

There are 2 types of contracts:

a) RECURRENT: In this type, you simply specify the start date and how often the charge repeats (e.g., every 1 month, every 2 months, every 6 months). The system will automatically generate the charges for you.

b) CUSTOMIZED: In this type, YOU create the charges, specifying the date and amount for each. This is especially useful if you have different values with varying due dates (e.g., a customized plan with different amounts).

To create a contract:

1. Go to the TUITION menu and click ADD.
2. Add the student by clicking on the + button. The system will automatically search for class schedules that do not yet have contracts created. You can add multiple students to the same contract.
3. Choose the contract type (Recurrence or Customized).
4. Select the normal value (sum of class fees) or a fixed value (e.g., a flat-rate plan).
5. Set a discount if applicable, and specify the discount's end date.
6. Choose who the contract and charges will be billed to (the student or a financial guardian).
7. Define the bank account and category for the entries generated by the charges.
8. If payment methods are configured, mark the option to generate invoices in the marketplace (e.g., Paypal).

You can also add other items, such as a discount or a registration fee, to generate a one-time charge to finalize the contract.

IMPORTANT: You can only create a contract for students who have classes that are not yet contracted to avoid duplication.
