A student paid me directly. What should I do with the PayPal invoice?

Transactions that already have linked invoices cannot be modified as long as they remain associated with PayPal. So, in cases where, for example, your student paid you directly in cash or you need to change the due date, description, or amount, you will need to CANCEL the current invoice to be able to edit the transaction.

To do this, simply go to the transaction and click on "Cancel," as shown below:

After doing this, the invoice icon in the transaction will turn red, and the cancellation information will be recorded in the transaction itself:

If you want to generate the invoice again with the updated details, you can simply repeat the invoice generation process as usual, as long as the due date is in the future and the transaction is still OPEN.
